The world’s end state park is located in the northeast mountains of Pennsylvania south of Towanda along Rt. 220. This is where 7 mountain ranges converge together. There are canyons and views from overlooks. You can rent a cabin here. There are white water rapids too. Go hiking over 20 miles of trails and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The park is over 780 acres and located near Forksville.
The Poconos is considered one of the world’s top honeymoon destinations. The natural beauty of the area creates the atmosphere for a romantic getaway. There’s lots of things to do here to keep you busy during the start to day too. Every season brings a change in scenery and a change in activities. In the winter, you can go skiing. In the summer, you can go rafting. In the fall, you can take in the beauty of the leaves changing colors. In the spring, you can renew yourself as the flowers bloom.
The Andy Warhol Museum is located at 117 Sandusky St. in Pittsburgh PA. The exhibits span 7 floors and are dedicated to the artworks of Andy Warhol. The artist was a native of Pittsburgh. It is on of the museums in the area that was endowed by Carnegie.
Gettysburg PA was the scene of a terrible battle of the Civil War. there were over 50,000 men killed here in one day. The battle took place in June 1863. It was the turning point of the war for the South. President Abraham Lincoln came here to honor the dead in his famous speech, the gettysburg address. Anyway, today you can tour the battlefield. There are bus tours, ghost tours, biking and walking tours. In July, there is a civil war battle reenactment, mortar fire competitions and a living history village. Gettysburg is suppose to be the most haunted place in America.
The Allegheny Reservoir is located along Rt. 6 near Warren PA in the Pennsylvania Wilds. You can fish for pike, perch and muskies here. The muskies caught here have been trophy size and over 40 lbs.
